We believe that new, fresh talent is the future of the industry, and the Bolia Design Awards has been created for this very purpose; to invite new, international interpretations of our Scandinavian design heritage.
Ever since 2007, the goal has been to help pave the way for new perspectives on Scandinavian design and creativity to emerge. We believe in giving back, in fostering talents of the industry and in supporting upcoming names so they can flourish. That was the initial idea behind the Bolia Design Awards and still is today.
Each year we have been completely awed and humbled by the amount of talent that makes their way to our door. The competition runs in spring each year, and the winning designs are selected by a just jury comprised of different aficionadas within their field, but all with one thing in common; a strong passion for Scandinavian design, sustainability and creativity.

Everything begins with a designer
Behind every design is a creative mastermind, a passionate soul who wholeheartedly lives for Scandinavian design and its sleek silhouettes. And these talented designers comprise our design collective whom each year creates top-notch quality furniture for us to give to you. Without these talented, established and upcoming talents, there would be no new collection to present, and the Bolia Design Awards is our way to pay our tribute to the aspiring talents and give the most talented a seat at the table, and to push way for more adverse, creative and inspiring ideas that exist in every corner of the world.
