Terms and conditions

Warranty & Consumer Guarantees 

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. 

You are entitled to: 

  • A replacement or refund for a major failure 
  • Repair or replacement if the product fails to meet acceptable quality and the failure is not major 

In addition, Bolia offers a 10-year voluntary warranty on designs. 

This warranty covers: 

  • Defects in materials and workmanship 
  • Repair or replacement within the warranty period 

This warranty does not cover: 

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. scratches, fading) 
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or improper care 
  • Use outside intended conditions (e.g. outdoor exposure unless specified) 

Important: 

  • This warranty is in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law 
  • Replacement items do not receive a new 10-year warranty

Orders & Payments 

  • Online orders: Full payment required at time of purchase 
  • Showroom orders: Minimum 50% deposit required 

Orders are confirmed once payment or deposit is received. 

After confirmation: 

  • Orders cannot be changed or cancelled, except where required under Australian Consumer Law 

If you request cancellation: 

  • We may retain part or all of your deposit to cover reasonable costs incurred 

Ownership: 

  • Goods remain the property of Bolia until paid in full 

 

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges 

Nothing in this policy excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law. 

We offer limited change-of-mind returns on selected products, subject to the conditions below. 

Custom & Made-to-Order Products 

  • Change-of-mind cancellations, returns, or exchanges are not available 
  • Custom or made-to-measure items cannot be cancelled or changed once confirmed 

Stocked (Quick Ship) Products 

For products purchased from in-stock inventory (store or warehouse), change-of-mind returns may be accepted under the following conditions: 

Eligibility: 

  • Return request must be made within 3 days of delivery 
  • Proof of purchase is required 

Return conditions: 

  • Products must be returned in the same condition as at the time of sale 
    (including ex-display condition where applicable) 
  • Condition will be assessed at Bolia’s reasonable discretion 

Fees & outcome: 

  • 25% restocking fee will apply based on the original purchase price 
  • Once the product is returned and inspected, a store credit will be issued for the remaining balance 

If return conditions are not met: 

  • The return may be declined 
  • The customer will be required to collect the product or arrange re-delivery at their own cost 

Additional costs: 

  • Return shipping and handling charges are payable by the customer

Ex-Display & Clearance Items 

Ex-display and clearance items are sold at reduced prices and may show signs of use, wear, or minor defects. 

Before purchase: 

  • Customers are responsible for inspecting the product 
  • A condition report will be provided outlining known faults or imperfections 

After purchase: 

  • Change-of-mind returns, refunds, or exchanges are not available 

Important: 

  • If a fault was not disclosed prior to purchase and the product is not of acceptable quality, you may be entitled to a remedy under Australian Consumer Law 

Accessories 

  • May be returned if unused, in original packaging, and with proof of purchase 
  • A refund, exchange, or store credit may be offered at our discretion 
  • Return shipping costs are not refunded 

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions. 

 

Delivery 

  • Delivery timeframes are estimates only and may vary 
  • Delays may occur due to supply or logistics 

Delivery service includes: 

  • Two-person delivery team 
  • Delivery to room of choice 
  • Assembly of furniture where required 
  • Removal of packaging 

Delivery conditions: 

  • Pricing assumes reasonable access at the delivery location 
  • Additional charges may apply where access is difficult or requires special handling 

Orders with multiple items may be delivered together unless otherwise arranged. 

 

Product Characteristics 

Our products are made using natural materials. 

As a result: 

  • Variations in colour, grain, and texture will occur 
  • Samples may not exactly match final products 
  • Timber and natural materials may change over time 

These are natural characteristics and are not considered faults. 

 

Sales, Promotions & Discounts 

Sale items: 

  • Available while stocks last 
  • Prices and availability may change 
  • Full payment is required to secure sale pricing 

Discount codes: 

  • Cannot be combined with other offers unless stated 
  • Not valid on sale items unless specified 
  • Limited to one use per customer 

Orders placed during promotional periods may not be amended or cancelled, except where required under Australian Consumer Law. 

 

General 

  • Lead times are estimates and subject to change 
  • We will notify you of significant delays where possible 
  • These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time
