Behind every single design there is a beautiful and creative mind. That is why we collaborate with a brilliant stable of world-renowned designers – from upcoming, vibrant talents to established design studios including more than 50 talented individuals from 19 countries around the world. And regardless of where they live and breathe, they all share the same passion for Scandinavian design, natural materials, and beautiful sustainable creations. And since fresh talent fuels our future, we celebrate new talented designers at our annual Bolia Design Awards, a tradition close to our hearts for over 18 years.
Ramón Esteve creates design that speaks to your senses with calming simplicity and exceptional attention to detail.
As both an architect and designer, each project is born with the aim of creating a holistic experience for the user through the interaction between both disciplines. A practice that has earned him numerous international awards through the years, including the Red Dot Design Award and the NYCxDesign Award.
In addition to designing our beautiful Hayden sofa series, he is also the architect behind the stunning countryside cottage that served as the striking visual backdrop for our Spring Collection.
The German design duo’s goal is to create simple and intuitive products - something that isn’t over-complicated, yet is still beautiful. They strive to design functional products that are simple and straightforward, yet poetic.
“For us, good design is when it feels like it’s never been any different. Something that makes sense when you look at it, or something that gives you an intense feeling of pleasure.”
Studio Nooi was founded by Giulia Pesce and Ruggero Bastita who met while studying and working as designers in Denmark.
Nooi derives from the Italian word “noi”, meaning “us” – the idea being that design is never an individual act but rather a collaborative process, involving designers, companies, users, artisans, and technicians.
They have already contributed an array of stunning designs to our collection, from beautiful dining tables to stylish sun loungers, and we can't wait to see what they dream up next.
The renowned design duo Glismand & Rüdiger come from Denmark – an origin that is clearly expressed in their design language. For them, Scandinavian design is not a label, but a commitment in their work and a concept they like to interpret in new and modern ways. Inspired by Scandinavian nature and traditional materials, they design furniture that is based on simplicity, excellent craftsmanship and honest materials.
“We have a shared passion for Scandinavian design and natural materials. Sustainability is at the core of all our new designs. Right from the initial sketch to the final design, because the most important thing for us is to create beautiful designs that can survive different trends and generations.”

Danish designer Charlotte Høncke graduated as Industrial Designer from the Danish School of Architecture in 2002.
She founded her own studio in Aarhus in 2010. Here, Charlotte designs furniture, lamps, and other objects. She has a special talent for combining functionality and aesthetics with small, fascinating details – creating designs that surprise and spark curiosity.
Just like her beautiful debut in our collection does – the iconic Mielo armchair. Hopefully with many more to come in the future.
Industrial designer Martin Lauritsen emphasizes durability and emotional resonance in his creations. His designs aim to enrich everyday lives through high-quality craftsmanship and thoughtful aesthetics. Inspired by the emotive qualities of music, his work seeks to evoke positive emotions and create lasting connections with users.
My style is characterized by keeping the focus on the detail and "edge" that separates my designs from the crowd. One of my biggest influences is to register how much diversity there is among people and try to meet the very different needs that it creates.
I've always been fascinated by the craftsmanship and the interaction between craftsman and designer. Good design is what gives meaning and value to the people who use it.
The talented Copenhagen-based designer, Emily Broom, won the 2020 Bolia Design Awards with her stunning series of rugs, 'Zen', which continue to be treasured and beloved designs in our collection.
As a designer, creating meaningful solutions is her passion – with each new project, she sees the opportunity to explore the fine balance of practicality and sophistication. Her focus on tactility, form, and composition, along with her meticulous attention to craftsmanship and longevity, reflects values that resonate strongly with us.
Our goal is to create subtle and practical products you can relate to. We love it when a design feels simple and yet complete, and where nothing more can be done or added. We focus on a single idea in the design process that supports our process as a whole, and we draw our inspiration from different materials and techniques.
On an aesthetic level, we are drawn to two-dimensional, graphic forms and their clean expression, and this is the aesthetic quality and clarity we try to achieve in our designs. For us, good design is more than a specific idiom or design – it is also about designing products that create value for the user for a very long time.
We believe that design, as much as art, should be integrated into everyday life. A great design should be consistent and cohesive; it should not only fulfill form and functionality, but also create experiences and evoke emotions among the users.
