Tests, Standards & Certifications

At the heart of our design philosophy lies longevity. Every decision is made with an eye towards durability and long-lasting design. It’s a commitment to creating something that will enrich your life for years to come.

Collaboration gives us the knowledge and tools to make better decisions. That’s why we work closely with leading partners. Together, we test, measure and learn continuously – from quality testing and material expertise to tracking CO₂eq emissions across our value chain. Every insight helps us improve the way we work and reduce our impact.

So why do we care about certifications?

Certifications are independent proof that our materials and processes meet recognised standards for quality, safety and responsibility. They are part of how we work, not just labels. We are transparent about what is certified and to what extent, helping us stay accountable through clear data, real actions and continuous improvement.

Our wooden designs are crafted u only FSC™-certified materials and other controlled materials – protecting biodiversity, ecosystems, and local communities.

Beyond our FSC™ certification, we are proud members of FSC Denmark, supporting the organisation behind responsible forest management and contributing to the global dialogue on how forests are protected.

All our designs containing MDF and plywood are tested to comply with TSCA Title VI (Toxic Substances Control Act), ensuring formaldehyde emissions remain within strict permitted limits.

All our fabrics, rugs and Soft Collection are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, and our leathers are OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD certified – tested by independent institutes for harmful substances and updated annually in line with the latest scientific research.

We are members of Care & Fair, an initiative founded in 1994 supporting hand weavers in India and Nepal through fair working conditions, education and healthcare for their families. All our rugs are handcrafted and carry the Care & Fair label.

As members of amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), we ensure our manufacturers follow its Code of Conduct, which promotes fair working conditions, respects workers’ rights and bans child labour, forced labour, corruption and discrimination.

All rugs are handcrafted from carefully selected materials such as wool, jute and recycled PET, reflecting our commitment to quality and responsible production. They are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, carry the Care & Fair label, and our partners are assessed through amfori BSCI.

The EU Ecolabel is the official European certification that marks products designed to minimise environmental impact across their entire life cycle. It sets strict requirements to protect people, the environment and natural resources.

From our Seed garden chairs, made with 85% recycled polypropylene, to the crafted Swing chairs with seats in oak veneer, explore 14 EU Ecolabelled designs – all customised just for you.

Terms like EN and ANSI/BIFMA may not be familiar to everyone, but they help ensure the furniture you bring into your home is safedurable and made to last. EN Standards set European requirements, while ANSI/BIFMA Standards are the North American equivalent. For us, they are one way of ensuring our designs stand the test of time.

    • EN Standards:

      99.5%
of our furniture designs are tested to and pass EN Standards for strength, durability, and stability.

    • ANSI/BIFMA Standards:

      6.5%
of our furniture designs are tested to and pass ANSI/BIFMA Standards for strength, durability, and stability.

    • DOWN AND FEATHERS

Down and feathers add natural durability and a luxurious feel to our sofas, chairs and poufs, offering long-lasting comfort and support. The filling complies with EN 12935, which requires it to be processed under strict hygienic conditions.

    • WORKING WITH PRDUCT.COM
