Material overview

The big question is what kind of fabric you want on your new sofa. Decisions, decisions, we know. But it’s fun choosing from our huge range of colorful textiles and soft leathers. Or your favorite tea cup or pair of sneakers for that matter.

And just as wonderful is the fact that all the fabric we use is either 100% pure wool or a mix of wool and polyester, both of which are 100% free of heavy metals. And both our leathers are 100% tracable, meaning you can track every single piece from farmer to your living room, ensuring quality and transparany.

Wool

Wool, a durable and elastic material that repels dirt, is a very popular choice for furniture. If you want a natural fabric with excellent properties, and which contains natural lanolin as extra protection, then wool is the ideal choice.

Initially, wool may shed a little excess fiber (pilling) from the surface. This has no bearing on the quality and is solely an indication of good natural quality. Embers from cigarettes etc. that are removed immediately will not leave a mark. Dark clothes such as denim can leave a mark if they are rubbed against white fabric, such as a new pair of jeans against a light-colored fabric sofa.

Wool care

Do not rub hard on the fabric surface when vacuuming and removing stains, as this can cause "pilling" and discoloring. You can get the wool to “contract” by steaming it with a steam iron.

Quattro leather

Quattro leather is luxurious, made according to the highest European standards and can be traced back to the cattle's area of origin in southern Germany. Quattro traceable leather supports our ambition to produce furniture in the best materials, with minimum impact on the environment. We take the environmental issue seriously and it is therefore essential for us to ensure the quality.

Care for Quattro leather

Daily cleaning with a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle, optionally in combination with a lint-free cotton cloth that has been well-wrung in demineralised water. We recommend you use Bolia's Care Kit for leather 2-4 times a year, which contains Cleanser cleaning fluid and Leather Protection Creme that softens and protects the leather. Do not rub too hard on the leather. Any furniture covered with Quattro should always be treated with Leather Protection Cream before using.
